The Swatch Bikepark Livigno operated by Mottolino opens its trails for the season 2009 on June 13th. The "Mottolino Fun Mountain" in sunny Italy and its brand new bike park partner Swatch are looking forward to present you completely adapted trails and a whole bunch of bargains. Some of you might still remember the Downhill World Championships back in 2005, when Fabien Barrel ruled the challenging trail. The World Championships-track is one out of four regular bike park trails. These cover all riding skill levels and include two north shore sections. But Mottolino’s course builders are already pimping the whole park for 2009. They are rebuilding all the trails and adding some new wooden structures. The existing dirt jump area located near Passo d’ Eira is being reshaped completely, too. Kona Clump team rider John Cowan visited Livigno a few weeks ago to give a few advices to the bike park team concerning sections that could be improved. The Swatch Bikepark Livigno operated by Mottolino has already a lot of riding flow and is one out of eleven Kona Groove Approved Bikeparks worldwide as well as one of only four in Western Europe. And the trails are even getting better and better. So be anxious to see what’s up to come. Pretty interesting to know for everybody who considers making freeride vacations in the Swatch Bikepark Mottolino: Livigno is not only a tax exile with convenient prices for clothing and everyday commodities. But it also offers special bike hotel packages for the combination of accommodation and gondola tickets. Fourteen specialized AR Bikehotels are offering a two-days bed and breakfast accommodation including two-days lift passes for rates from 109 Euros (3 Star hotel) to 149 Euros (4 Star Hotels). A list of the hotels is available on www.mottolino.com. But the bargains don’t end here. The regular one-day bike park ticket is 21 Euros for adults and 17 Euros for kids. Like no other bike park in Europe can keep up with those gondola conditions. If you are more into cross country riding, there are also good news for you: information about 3.200 kilometers of trails is waiting for you to be downloaded on your GPS device (www.livignobike.it). If you got anxious to know more about the Swatch Bikepark Livigno operated by Mottolino, its trails, opening times, conditions, and events, please take a look on www.mottolino.com for more detailed Information. If you are interested in the bike park's official partner, please take a look on their websites: Swatch (www.swatch.com), Kona (www.konaworld.com), the Kona rental station in Livigno called Sport Adventure Freeride Company (www.zinermann.it), or the Madness Freeride School offering professional tour guidance and riding skills trainings (www.madnessow.com).
